There are tons of products sold on the market. Every one of them are claiming to be the best. so how do you decide what to choose? I like to resort to advice from the pros. These are people who use cleaners day in and day out in many different homes. This is what is keep in their bag
1) Glass spray
Of course windex works amazing, but what if you run out, want to save money or want something eco friendly. The next best thing is one part vinegar one part water and a splash of dawn dish soap. Mix that in an old spray bottle and you have a quick homemade glass spray
2) All Purpose
This will be your staple cleaner. We have tried many different brands but have found ourselves continuously going back to Meyers eco all purpose. We have received the most compliments from our clients when we use Meyers. It's tough on dirt to make cleaning stuck on food easy to remove plus It smells nice and leaves all your surfaces shiny.
3) Grit
Another staple in your cleaning kit should be something with Grit. This will be for those stubborn stains and buildup in your tub or shower. A known instigator of this is actually bath bombs. They tend to leave residue and colouring on the sides of your tub. If left after many uses, the stain and buildup can be tough to remove. In this case we take out our all natural all purpose scrub from Penny lane. This is a tough grit that can take out almost anything. We have used this to remove the built up calcium on a tub to make it look new again plus coffee stains on a white countertop. Clients are always amazed when we take out those stubborn stains they thought there was no way of removing. To use, put vim on the rough part of your sponge and scrub. Add Penny Lane for that extra cleaning power
4) Barkeepers Friend
This product is our top choice for cleaning gas stove tops, grease (off recommended surfaces) and grout! When we clean with Barkeepers Friend we let the product sit for a few minutes before adding elbow grease. This is the best product we've found for taking those stubborn stains off of the gas range.
5} Stainless steel spray
Water spills and finger prints will add up over time and make your stainless steel look blotchy. Shake Weilmans stainless steel spray and spray it into a paper towel and wipes your fridge down to protect your investment but also bring it back to its brand new shine
6) Dawn dish soap
Dawn dish soap! This one is pretty obvious. From washing dishes and the sink to grease on your backsplash; Dawn dish soap can be used for almost all daily messes
7) Tools
Top recommended tools
grout brush
OXO brush
Weilman stove top razor for glass stove tops and hard surfaces
8) Toilet bowl cleaner and brush
This one is pretty common and self explanatory. Toilet bowls get gross. Even if your bowl doesn't have stuck on particles, it still builds up a yellow film if not scrubbed regularly. The toilet bowl cleaner also removes what you can't see like bacterial and other germs. Unused toilets could also use a scrub every now and then since the water will grow mold in the bowl if left stagnant.
9) Vacuum
There are many vacuums on the market and tons of them are great. For our company was use Shark corded stick vacuums. Of course this is a personal choice so a vacuum thats perfect for us will be different for you. Check out our blog post on the top recommended vacuums for more information!
10) Mop
The best mop we have used is from Bona. Not only does the Bona mop pad suction the best to your floor and reduce streaks, but they have an amazing return policy! If you ever have a problem with your Bona mop, simply contact their customer service through email. They will get back to you within 24 hours, ask for a bit of information and then send you a brand new mop!
